In partnership with the Chautauqua Safety Village: hands-on lesson for youth ages 10 through 16; class limited to 10 students. Will learn how to care for infants and young children, communicate effectively with children and their parents, offer age appropriate games, meals, and snacks, recognize safety issues and learn how to respond in an emergency. At the end of class, each student will receive their own babysitting bag. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a two year certification from the American Heart Association (for youth 12 and older) and will be trained in choking relief and basic first aid. MUST BE REGISTERED BY JUNE 30.Lunch provided. Funding for this program is from the Falconer Region Community Fund at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.
